Annotation

Clinical trials are a central element for the development and improvement of the health care system. Developers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices/technologies and complex interventions rely on their innovations to be tested in patient-oriented research under controlled conditions and in compliance with the highest safety standards.
Compliance with the guidelines, the well-being of patients and the quality of the results calls for well-trained trial staff.
In this course you will learn the skills and expertise you need to plan and organise clinical trials and to ensure that they are conducted properly and in accordance with the rules. Students are also given the necessary scientific grounding to enable them to advise trial participants and to communicate well within interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams.
