Annotation

The use of digitally networked systems is progressing in all industrial sectors. The developments currently being observed under the buzzword Industry 4.0 are essentially based on the continuous digital mapping of all steps in the value chain of industrial production. From the planning phase to design/design and the production process to lifetime monitoring of products (e.g. also buildings), virtual product and process models are networked with each other to accelerate development processes, increase the quality of products and optimize production processes. These developments therefore require well-trained specialists who work at the interface between computer science and engineering. Thanks to the degree programme jointly created by Civil Engineering and Media Informatics at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, you will be trained flexibly and across disciplines for the challenges in the professional world of tomorrow. In the Master's degree programme in Digital Engineering, we place great emphasis on introducing you to current research questions at an early stage through projects that are defined and supervised in collaboration with industry partners, among others. The Digital Bauhaus Lab, as the university's state-of-the-art research institution, offers the best conditions for this.
