The admission requirements are derived from the Federal State of Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG): General Admission Requirements: - secondary school or vocational baccalaureate diploma or - completed at least 2 years of training (similar to the subject) and can additionally demonstrate 3 years of professional activity in the profession learned (subject-specific university entrance qualification) or - University entrance qualification for the Akkon University via a separate examination if the professional qualification is not sufficient. SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Specialisation Emergency Medical Services Management - completed training to be a paramedic plus a supplementary examination for paramedics (until the 4th semester) and - existing employment / volunteer work in the emergency medical service or related area or - Completed training as a paramedic and - existing employment / volunteer work in the emergency medical service or related area Focus on Disaster Management - completed vocational training in the areas of security, security, fire brigade, administration or merchant / trade and - several years of work (including voluntary work) and qualifications in these areas and - existing (also voluntary) employment in these areas
