Annotation
Germany, as a business location, with its high-tech industries, has a deficit of over 10,000 engineers today. According to the German Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (VDE), there is an enormous demand for engineers who specialise in power electronics, automation technology and embedded systems. In light of ongoing and accelerating technological developments as well as increasing demands on interdisciplinary networking, engineers assume key positions in industry. Graduates of this course will leave with a highly versatile education, which enables them to master the challenges of global competition. The academic degree in Electrical and Information Technology (Bachelor of Engineering) provides the perfect qualification for working on interdisciplinary and multifunctional projects. As a graduate, you will take your technical ideas and translate them to practical applications, turning them into marketable products. To sharpen your profile further, you will also acquire foreign language and management skills. This distance learning course includes practical laboratory work at our partner universities Pforzheim and DHBW Stuttgart. There, you will be able to experiment with state-of-the-art technical laboratory equipment, and you can always turn to experienced professors and qualified lab engineers for advice. By the way: as a student of this distance learning course, you will be able to participate in a three-week study session in Sacramento: through the California Campus Program. Within the framework of the AKAD-study model, you decide yourself – depending on learning type, level of knowledge or interest – whether you participate in the additional seminars of your course of study at the AKAD University in Stuttgart or not.
